Who is Thomas Brodbeck?
Thomas Brodbeck is an SEO Manager with Found Search Marketing and he has been doing SEO and Digital Marketing since 2010.
While he has worked in SEO since 2010, he didn’t start his professional career in SEO and digital marketing. He graduated from Huntington University in 2008 with a degree in Broadcasting and a minor in film studies.
His first professional job was with WTHI-TV in Terre Haute, Indiana as their Internet Content Producer in 2010. His main responsibility was focusing on the content of the website and developing a social media promotion philosophy for the news team. While he was there, he was introduced to the term SEO at a training and that meeting shifted his career focus.
To learn more about SEO, he joined Slingshot SEO as Search Media Networker. It was there he was able to learn the basics of SEO as well as learn the ins and outs of link building.
The experience from Slingshot SEO led to a role with Site Strategics. There he spent over eight years learning and honing the craft of SEO. With Site Strategics, he built and optimized several WordPress websites and he also produced, edited, and co-hosted more than 300 episodes of Edge of the Web. In 2017, Edge of the Web won “Best Podcast Series” from the Content Marketing awards beating out shows from companies Slack and Bridgestone Tire.
In 2019, he was offered a position at Hirons, one of the top PR agencies in Indianapolis as a Senior Digital Marketing Strategist. While there, he gained a ton of knowledge in web development and produced several live video productions.
In 2020, an opportunity to start an SEO team with Found Search Marketing was too good to pass up and that’s where he’s been ever since. In his current role, he has helped companies large and small to improve their organic performance as well as help improve the organic visibility for the Found Search Marketing website too.
Fun Facts
– He worked at a movie theater from 2004-2010 as a booth projectionist and manager. One of his main responsibilities was to put together the films (still using 35mm film) every week. He still has a large box of movie posters, film trailers, and large marquee banners in storage.
– In college (around 2007), he had a video go viral from the first time he anchored sports for his college TV station. While his first time anchoring was a flop, the video was featured on Sports By Brooks, Deadspin, NBC, MSN, and the Fox Sports show “The Best Damn Sports Show Period.”
The original video with 400K+ views was deleted by his alma mater due to a rebranding, so this is the best quality that still exists.
– He’s played Jazz with Wynton Marsalis.
– He volunteers for the Greater Greenwood Veterans War Memorial Committee and is planning the future building of a Veterans Memorial in downtown Greenwood, IN.
– His peanut butter fudge was named the best fudge in Johnson County, Indiana in 2023.
– Thomas Brodbeck is a 2022 graduate of Leadership Johnson County. Starting in 2023, he will be serving on the board of Leadership Johnson County.
